Information = Value = Worth
Money is information. It is the manifestation of the agreed upon value of currency based on information. The value of all goods, services and securities follows this same formula with one additional factor: emotion.
Emotion amplifies value. While information is the base-source of value, it appeals to logic. Emotion brings energy into the equation—this determines the public's willingness to take risks, level of urgency and overall excitement about needing or wanting specific goods, services and securities.
People will take more risks and have a deeper sense of urgency and excitement about things that they connect with emotionally. If a thing makes people feel safe, successful, attractive, cool, hopeful, smart, entertained, etc. the value of the thing is amped up.
This directly correlates to the commercial worth of a thing. A thing is worth exactly what another person is willing to pay for it. Therefore, if the publics' value of a thing increases, so does commercial worth.
The goal of integrated media and communications is to: apply advanced communications methodologies, utilizing various mediums, to manipulate the information and emotions associated with goods and services, increasing public value and commercial worth.
Sounds good? Let's get to work.
